Background Checks
In order to volunteer on school campus, in the classroom or as a field trip chaperone you are required to complete background check. If you haven’t already, complete your Volunteer Background Check with the school district. The School District’s requirements are:
Classroom and on-campus volunteers need a Level 1 background check.
Drivers or field trip chaperones also complete a Level 2 background check. There is a $12.95 fee to process this application. If the fees present a hardship, reach out to the School District Partnerships Team. After the first year of volunteering, you will be asked to complete a free level 1 background check at your yearly renewal.
Once the background checks are complete, the volunteer badges need to be sent to Lockwood and to volunteer@paceatlockwood.org

Are you new to PACE this year? Have lots of questions? The PACE New Family Mentor team is here for you, to make your transition into PACE as smooth as possible. If you have a question and don’t know who to ask, or just feel like you’re in the dark, please contact us.
Also, soon we will be reaching out to you to introduce you to your “buddy family” (a PACE family who has a student in your student’s class). Your “buddy family” will be another resource for you to rely on as you navigate your first year of PACE.
